Seniors Group Coordinator
(Arabic Seniors Social and Information Network)

Full Time (35 hours per week) up to June 2027

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and creating a welcoming environment for diverse communities? Join our team as a Seniors Group Coordinator and lead meaningful programs that support our aging population.

The Arabic Seniors Social and Information Network is a service that provides social support individual and social support groups to Arabic-speaking background aged people in various Sydney West and South West Local Government Areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks fundamental to the role, such as data input, assessments, client service agreements, and promotional activities.
  • Provide written reports as per organizational policies, and prepare other relevant reports for projects.
  • Participate and provide practical assistance in organizational activities, services, and events as needed, including Annual General Meetings.
  • Attend relevant training programs, staff meetings, and contribute to organization planning sessions.
  • Demonstrate a duty of care towards participants in the groups, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, funding guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate client information and records, facilitate referrals to relevant services, and promote the service and groups as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in running groups and activities relevant to aged people
  • Experience in casework, referrals, and liaising with service providers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide a warm and welcoming environment for seniors from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of WH&S legislation, risk assessment, and management strategies
