New online safety laws to help with online abuse
Online abuse can happen to anyone.
The new Online Safety Act is making it easier to fight the most serious types of online abuse.
Anyone exposed to and effected by serious online abuse, such as cyberbullying, image-based abuse and harmful online content, can now report this, so abusers are held to account.
These laws will hold abusers to account and help remove dangerous content from platforms, thanks to a collaboration between CultureVerse and the Australian Government, namely the Office of the eSafety Commissioner.
As part of this work, CultureVerse and eSafety has made information available in community languages.
